Abstract

Where appropriate, Live Communications Server leverages existing technology such as Active Directory (which we covered in Chapter 7), SQL Server, Microsoft Operations Manager (see Chapter 19), DNS, and PKI. This chapter covers these last two related concepts: SIP DNS namespaces and PKI certificates. It is important to understand these concepts and how they relate before requesting certificates for your Live Communications Servers.
