Summary

In this chapter, we’ve discussed Cascading Style Sheets and, as you’ve seen in the demo application, they have a very practical meaning in the world of software development. They’re so much more than just visual management, and they can ultimately change the way that you work with web design as a whole. We’ve also taken a cursory look at the DOM and how we can isolate, manipulate, and render page-level elements from JavaScript. In the coming chapters, you will see how these learned skills will become indispensable to Ajax development.
