Ageing in the mentally retarded

  • Chapter
Scientific Studies in Mental Retardation

Abstract

This chapter is about ageing and mental retardation. It does therefore confine itself to problems which are relevant to the mentally retarded individual. The approach is to present known causes of ageing. The classification of these is piecemeal and it is quickly apparent that several different factors may operate in any one individual.
