Abstract
From ‘Candida: a Talk with Mr Bernard Shaw’, Realm, 5 April 1895. The copyright performance took place on 30 March 1895. But though the play was given some provincial performances by the Independent Theatre from 1897 onwards, it did not reach London until 1 July 1900, when the Stage Society produced it.
