Abstract

The size of the stomach and the quantity of its secretions may be related to constitutional factors such as height, weight, linearity, surface area, lean body mass, sex, age and ethnic group. The separate relationships are still not all clearly understood, and the problem is complicated both historically and statistically by the interdependence of these biological factors.
