Abstract
An integrated software, SAREX-EX, has been developed to assist the user to efficiently and systematically perform fire and flooding PSA. It was also designed so that the input data, model and results of PSA are scrutable to PSA analysts and reviewers. To quantify event trees for fire/flooding scenarios, SAREX-EX sets all the failed events in fault trees to TRUEs via mapping information or change their probabilities to the appropriate values. To reduce the number of quantification, SAREX-EX also evaluates CCDP of each fire/flooding damage state and then applies it to all the scenarios with same damage state. KOPEC is planning to utilize SAREX-EX to perform fire/flooding PSA in Korea and it is expected to contribute to reduction of cost and efforts for fire/flooding PSA.
