Abstract

The Nuclear Power Plant Gösgen (KKG) currently is updating the existing Level 2 PSA which originated from 1994, and including the results of the latest development in severe accident research. At the same time a project is underway to review plant specific AM actions and to implement KKG-specific SAMGs. To support both projects a plant specific severe accident simulator, MELSIM_KKG, is developed, which initially was based on a plant specific MELCOR 1.8.4 (US NRC) model, combined with the interactive simulator interface SIM, a proprietary product of RMA.
