Abstract
The previous four chapters have discussed the basic principles of drug kinetics and dynamics. These principles will be applied in this chapter to explain the known clinical properties of anesthetic drugs administered as intermittent intravenous doses. A drug administered as a single rapid intravenous dose is called a bolus intravenous dose.
