Connection Management in MPLS Networks Using Mobile Agents

  • Conference paper

Part of the book series: Lecture Notes in Computer Science ((LNCS,volume 2094))

Abstract

In this paper, the use of mobile agent technology for creating QoSdriven MPLS tunnels and LSP’s is investigated and an architectural framework to integrate related service and network management activities is proposed. Using a MIB definition, details of an example implementation for configuring MPLS network elements over CORBA and JAVA facilities are discussed. Critical evaluation of the proposed approach together with its advantages, issues and comparison to traditional connection management approaches is presented.
