Zusammenfassung
Das endokrine System ist die Gesamtheit aller hormonbildenden Organe und Zellen und besitzt eine wichtige Funktion in der Aufrechterhaltung der Homöostase der Körperfunktionen. Durch Störungen einzelner oder komplexer Hormonproduktionen oder -wirkungen entstehen unterschiedlichste Krankheitsbilder, mit denen sich der Anästhesist vor allem bei operativen Eingriffen konfrontiert sieht. In diesem Kapitel werden die einzelnen endokrinen Erkrankungen und das entsprechende anästhesiologische Management dargestellt.
