23.8 Conclusions

Paget’s disease of bone may be disappearing. Complications of Paget’s disease remain common in the elderly and may require medical and/or surgical management. Recognition of the disease, its severity and extent on isotope bone scanning, CT and MR, as well as conventional radiography remain important. Recognition of the complications of Paget’s disease may require additional imaging.
