Abstract

Oscillatory structures of the magnetoresistance in n-Ge are investigated in three different temperature regions, above 77K, from 10 to 20K and below IOK.Intervalley magnetophonon series due to the degenerate (LA,LO) phonons at the X point is observed at T > 77K in addition to the intravalley LO phonon series, and the deformation potential ratio of the intervalley scattering to the intravalley scattering is determined. Magnetophonon resonance due to the intervalley TA phonons at the X point is observed for the first time at the intermediate temperature range. Magnetoimpurity resonance is observed at T < 10K and a tentative assignment of the observed five series is given.
