Abstract

In order to realize automatic service composition in Manufacturing Grid (MG), a framework based on manufacturing domain-specific ontology (MGOnto) is proposed. MGOnto integrates three existing manufacturing ontologies, and represented in First Order Logic and Rules respectively. The framework consists of five core and three supporting services. It can reuse previously processed workflows in local repository and compose new workflows from services MG wide, by automatic service chaining which uses a MGOnto based backward recursive algorithm. A test bed is implemented and experiments on the example of an airfoil rib verify the feasibility of the framework.
