Abstract.
We present zero-age models of Population III stars that demonstrate these stars have enhanced ionizing photon production relative to metal-enriched stars. We comment on the possibility that these stars reionized the universe and calculate a critical rate of metal-free star formation required to reionize H by z = 5. We speculate on the effects of our models on various other cosmological processes.
