Characteristic data

Abstract

In this chapter, characteristic data for the most common powders in modern powder metallurgy (PM) production are tabulated. Chemical composition of iron base powder for PM and injection molding is tabulated. Properties such as apparent density, flow rate, particle size, compressibility, compaction pressure, green strength and Rattler value are studied for pure iron powder for bearings and structural parts.
