A free string which sweeps a null surface (or worldsheet) in the Minkowski space time [1] (also tensionless string ). A null surface is a congruence of null curves in it, i.e. the curves which have the null (light-like) directions as tangent. Equivalently, a null worldsheet is a surface in spacetime which at every one of its points is tangent to the light-cone with vertex at that point [2]. Schild action describing strings and null string creates a basis to establish new connections between string model and matrix models of gauge fields (see [3] and Schild action ).
