Abstract
The deoxygenated Y1−xCaxBa2Cu3O6+d samples have been investigated. The substitution of Ca in the Y places induces the insulator to metal transition and the superconductivity appears at x=0.26 to 0.3. The ac magnetic susceptibility measurements show that the effective magnetic moment increases with Ca content. The electrical resistivity vs temperature measurements provided an experimental material to discuss various models responsible for electrical transport properties. They are analyzed for different values of the x parameter in the insulator to metal transition. The Mott law fits best to our experimental data.
