Abstract

There are several things that need to be addressed when upgrading to SQL Server 2008. Once you have decided to upgrade, you have to make sure that all the features implemented in the prior version are compatible with SQL Server 2008. This chapter will also explain the different upgrade strategies to help you decide the best method for your environment. Finally, we will look at configuration changes that need to be made after the upgrade to ensure that you are taking full advantage of the features offered in SQL Server 2008.
