(1966) (stretch wrap) vt. The use of plastic films for unitizing several boxes or items loaded on a pallet. Film may simply be stretched over the materials to be protected, pulled tight and secured; or shrunk by application of heat. ASTM D 4649 (section 15.09) is a guide to the selection of such materials.
