Summary
-
1.
The blood plasma-level of tyrosine of 18 patients with depressions was significantly lower in the morning, than the level of the other control persons.
-
2.
Towards the evening the content of tyrosine of these patients rises by approximately 25% and approaches the norm.
-
3.
The ratios of evening to morning levels of tryptophane and tyrosine differ significantly from the levels of normal persons.
-
4.
24 h-profiles of plasma tyrosine and tryptophane of 2 depressive patients were carried out. The daily rhythm of tyrosine was displaced, in camparison to the rhythm of normal persons, by appr. 12 h. The absolute values were lower than those of normal persons.
-
5.
The out put of kynurenine of depressive patients was significantly lower than that of normal persons. The average output was less than 50% of the normal level.
-
6.
The significance of these findings was discussed.
Zusammenfassung
-
1.
-
6.
Die Bedeutung dieser Befunde wurde diskutiert.
