Zusammenfassung

Die Literatur über die Rolle organisierter Interessen2 in der EG ist keineswegs reichhaltig.3 Im Umfang kann sie nicht im entferntesten mit den zahlreichen Studien zur parlamentarischen Interessenrepräsentation konkurrieren, obwohl generell die politi-tischen Einflußmöglichkeiten organisierter Partikularinteressen höher eingeschätzt werden als die des Europäischen Parlamentes. Die schmale Ausbeute ist vor allem deshalb erstaunlich, weil der die Integrationsdebatte lange beherrschende neofunktionalistische Theorieansatz den Verbänden eine tragende Rolle im Integrationsprozeß zurechnete (Haas 1968; Lindberg/Scheingold 1970; Caporaso 1974).
