Abstract

This is the editorial for the book “Psychobiographical illustrations on meaning and identity in sociocultural contexts”. This Volume is part of the Palgrave Series on Sociocultural Psychology of the Lifecourse, aiming at providing new insights, original research, empirical findings and theoretical and conceptional discourses on meaning and identity during extraordinary individuals’ lives.

The editorial provides a brief insight into the state-of-the-art in psychobiography with special regard to meaning-making and identity development across the life span. The authors further present the content and aim of the book as part of the book series and provide insights into the chapters.
