Laminin-2 immobilized on a 3D fibrous structure impacts cortical thymic epithelial cells behaviour and their interaction with thymocytes
2022, International Journal of Biological MacromoleculesCitation Excerpt :This process is controlled by the activity of thymic epithelial cells (TECs) which interact with developing T cells (thymocytes) in a tightly regulated manner. [1] The thymic extracellular matrix (ECM) is structured in a three dimensional (3D) network in which the thymocytes and TECs are embedded, being the 3D structure essential to enable their crosstalk. [2,3] This ECM is mainly composed of fibronectin, laminin, and collagens type I and IV. [4,5]
