(Jusko and Levy, 1970; Jusko et al., 1970) and another group (Spector, 1982) have demonstrated saturable renal reabsorption and accumulation of riboflavin. Therefore, riboflavin transporters are thought to be essential for the maintenance of riboflavin homeostasis in the intestine and kidney.
