The Korean Society of Clinical Nutrition (KSCN) was founded in 2010 to develop clinical nutritional standards and improve public health. The mission of KSCN is to develop and extend knowledge of clinical nutrition of all species, to promote education and training of dietitians in clinical practice, to facilitate contact among investigators in nutrition, medicine and related fields of interest, and to advocate for clinical nutrition research and its application to the clinical nutrition practices.

The Society fulfills its mission by fostering and enhancing research in clinical nutrition, and archiving research results in its publications. The KSCN made the first step toward publishing the "Clinical Nutrition Research (CNR)". The aims of CNR are to stimulate research activities across broad areas of clinical nutrition and public health, to provide evidence-based information to those who need it, and to bringing scientific knowledge to bear on clinical nutrition issues through communication and influence in the public domain.

The KSCN will exert all possible efforts to activate the research and to standardize and expand the clinical nutrition knowledge contributing to the optimization of human health.
