Global order developed after the Second World War continues, notably the “Big Five” countries of Allies of the Second World War (the Allies) being the permanent members of the United Nations Security Council. History of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression (the History) is not only an important historical memory of most of the Chinese around the globe, but also serves as a starting point of bridging the Allies and the rest of the world. More attention has been paid by Mr. Ma Ying-jeou towards the History amongst presidents of Republic of China in recent years. Therefore, this study on the impact of discussion about the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression on Cross-Strait relations and foreign diplomatic focuses on the usage of the History to connect both sides of the Strait and the Allies, as well as its usage to contend for discourse about the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression against the People’s Republic of China during the Ma Ying-jeou year (2008-2016).
