本研究運用臺灣經濟新報資料庫與金融監督管理委員會統計29家發卡銀行,自2015年1月至2019年10月計58個月月資料,運用橫斷面與時間序列之縱橫資料(Panel Data),區分全體與發卡量逾百萬張之前12大發卡銀行,分別探討卡量變化、循環信用餘額及未到期分期付款金額、簽帳金額、預借現金等觀察值對發卡行之三個月與六個月逾期放款比率,以及稅前股東權益報酬率之影響。實證結果顯示發卡行受主管機關對信用卡業務逾期與呆帳之規範,對於逾期帳款之催繳均能極處理,故六個月逾期比率均較三個月逾期比率為低;另信用卡業務之獲利對金融機構之股東權益報酬率未具顯著影響,因此建議發卡行除核卡仍需嚴謹審慎,落實催繳作業,可善用企業社會責任來影響信用卡品牌價值,提升信用卡業務之綜效且利潤最大化。
This study used database from Taiwan Economic Journal and the 29 financial card issuing banks during the period from January 2015 to October 2019 which is 58 months. Furthermore,we chose different observations of the card issuing bank which are selected and divided into two groups for analysis and use.we took advantage of Cross-section and Time-series tool for panel data estimation (Panel Data) to explore the changes in card volume, revolving credit balance, unexpired installment amount and spending amount of two groups of card issuers .The variables of cash and other observations have any impact on the issuing bank ’s three-month and six-month overdue loan ratios and shareholder equity return rate . The empirical results show that the card issuing bank is subject to the regulations of the credit card business overdue and bad debts by the competent authority. Besides,they can be extremely handled for the collection of overdue accounts,so the six-month overdue ratio is lower than the three-month overdue ratio.In addition,the profit from credit card business has no significant impact on the return on shareholders ’equity of financial institutions. Therefore, it is recommended that card issuers still need to be rigorous and prudent in removing nuclear cards and implement collection operations.The issuers can make good use of corporate social responsibility to affect the value of credit card brands and enhance the comprehensive effect of credit card to reach profit maximization .
