Abstract

Transient osteoporosis of the hip is one of the causes of hip pain starts suddenly. It is a rare clinical condition characterized by dissapperance of hip pain after a while and osteoporosis view in the femoral head comes into the picture later on. The disease begins without any trauma. It manifests itsels with hip pain in middle aged men and third trimester pregnant women. The disease responds to treatment with resting and analgesics. In this article, a case of a third trimester pregnant woman who had admitted to the hospital with hip and leg pain and had been diagnosed as transient hip osteoporosis after some clinical and radiological examinations was presented. As a result, hip and leg pain sudden onset of the third trimester in pregnancy the differential diagnosis of transient osteoporosis of the hip should be kept in mind.
