I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Philosophy, and Faculty Fellow in the Graduate School, at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. My research focuses on ethical issues in research and medicine, and I’m particularly interested in thinking about ethics in unregulated research such as citizen science. I teach in the areas of bioethics and research ethics. I am a Co-Editor of the Philosophy & Medicine book series, published by Springer, an Associate Editor of Citizen Science: Theory and Practice, and serve on the Editorial Advisory Board of the Journal of Medicine and Philosophy.
