Genus Plutonodomus Cooke, 1964
Plutonodomus Cooke, 1964: 280 (Type species by monotypy, Plutonodomus kungwensis Cooke, 1964).
Remarks. Plutonodomus is the only known African Prodidominae genus that shows adaptations to a subterranean environment. Plutonodomus kungwensis Cooke, 1964 was collected in a termite nest (Microtermes sp.) at the edge of a gallery forest (Cooke 1964). It is known solely from the female holotype and no additional material belonging to this species was examined in this study.

Composition. Monotypic: P. kungwensis Cooke, 1964.
Distribution. Kungwe-Mahali Mts., Tanzania (Fig. 36).
