Description

Thaumasia rubrosignata (Mello-Leitão, 1943)

Dyrines rubrosignatus Mello-Leitão, 1943b: 165, immature holotype from Paraíba, Campina Grande, Brazil [07°14’S, 35°53’W], R. von Ihering (MNRJ) (examined).

Thaumasia rubrosignata Carico & Silva, 2008: 116 (transferred from Dyrines).

Note. Dyrines rubrosignatus was transferred to the genus Thaumasia by Carico & Silva (2008). Our examination of the holotype confirmed the transfer, the holotype specimen is a member of the genus Thaumasia by the general shape of the carapace and abdomen. However, the holotype is an extremely small spiderling, lacking speciesspecific characters. Therefore, the species is considered a species inquirenda.
