Lectotype: ♀ (# MZSP 56886) ‘ Perú, 827 [Peru, Stand col.]’ ‘ Nectarinia baccalaurea R. v. Ih., Ducke rev. 11’ ‘ Brachygastra baccalaurea (R. Von Ihering), det. M. Naumann’ ‘ Nectarinia baccalaurea R. v. Iher., ♀, lectotype’.
Current status: Brachygastra baccalaurea (Ihering,1903).
Comments: Lectotype designated by Richards (1978: 177).
