Description

Leuctra carolinensis Claassen

Distribution. USA: MD, MS, NC, NJ, TN, VA, WV (DeWalt et al. 2015), AL, CT, PA (Grubbs 2015)

Material examined. Bell Co., Shillalah Creek, 8 June 2010, M. Floyd, 1♂, 29♀ (DCTC).

Comments. The presence of this headwater Appalachian species in eastern Kentucky was not surprising. Shillalah Creek drains Brush Mountain in the far southeastern portion of the state.
