Type locality and data. “ Brazil, Santa Catarina, Nova Teutonia ” (H, T, AMNH).

Material examined. Antofagasta: 1♀, Mejillones, 1.VII.1970, Leg. Cerda (MNHNCL); La Araucanía: 1♀, Termas de Palguin, 22.II.1964, Leg. M. Etcheverry (IEUMCE).

World distribution. Brazil and Chile.

Chilean distribution. The species only has been recorded in Antofagasta and La Araucanía region (Fig. 200).

Altitudinal range. From coastal to inland valley ecosystems (0– 450 m.a.s.l.).

Biology and notes. Mimocalla erebus represent a rare species present in Chile. All of its biology and ecology aspects remain unknown in Chile.

Conservation status. EN under B2ab (iii) using AOO = 4 km 2 and 2 localities (or subpopulations).

Genus Nuntianus Miranda, 2020 in Miranda et al., 2020

N. comb. Baccha lepida Macquart, 1842; Baccha lepidus species group in part, Hull (1949c); Ocyptamus lepidus species group. Thompson (1981); Miranda et al. (2016); Mengual et al. (2018b).
