Description
Corvus frugilegus tschusii Hartert
Corvus frugilegus tschusii Hartert, 1903d: 14 (Gilgit).
Now Corvus frugilegus frugilegus Linnaeus, 1758. See Hartert, 1919: 127; Vaurie, 1954b: 17; 1959: 167; Dickinson et al., 2004b: 123; and dos Anjos, 2009: 625–626.
HOLOTYPE: AMNH 674831, female, collected at Gilgit, 35.55N, 74.18E (BirdLife International, 2001: 2643), Kashmir, on 7 December 1879, by J. Scully (no. 711). From the Rothschild Collection.
COMMENTS: In the original description, Hartert mentioned only the type specimen, giving Scully’s number for it.
