Description
This paper is part of a larger comparative study about the anthropological role and sources of ivory dating from the beginnings of the Third Millenium to the first stages of the Bronze Age, in contexts from the whole territory of the Iberian Peninsula, taking as basis, among others, the related studies on this subject performed by the DAI (German Archaeology Institute) from 2005 to 2008 and from 2009 to 2015. Through this work we can extract conclussions about the source and type of ivory found in Iberian contexts, its value as early trading marker and its possible anthropological potential.
