Description
Coniceromyia piricornis Borgmeier
BRAZIL: 1♂, Mato Grosso do Sul: Porto Murtinho: Faz. Retiro Conceição: Trilha Espinhadeira, 21°40’59.7”S 57°46’42.5”W, 29.iii–18.iv.2012, Malaise trap, Lamas, Nihei & eq. col. (MZUSP); 1♂, same but 1–15.xii.2011 (MZUSP).
Remarks. We illustrate here some previously unreported features of this species: ventral band of dense setulae on the anterior face of the midfemur (Fig. 26M) and hind tibia with dorsal excavation with a group of dense shorter setulae (Figs. 26E). This last feature is possibly homologous to the dorsal carina on the hind tibia of C. diadella (Fig. 26F).
