Description

Cotyledon serrata Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 1: 429. 1753.

"Habitat in Creta, Sibiria." RCN: 3340.

Type not designated.

Original material: [icon] in Dillenius, Hort. Eltham. 1: 113, t. 95, f. 112. 1732.

Current name: Rosularia serrata (L.) A. Berger (Crassulaceae).

Note: Eggli (in Bradleya 6, Suppl.: 103. 1988) wrongly indicated 595.4 (LINN) as the lectotype, the same sheet he also designated (correctly) as the lectotype of Sedum libanoticum L. (1759). Edmondson & Rowley (in Bradleya 16: 15, f. 4. 1998) have reproduced the cited Dillenius illustration in colour.
