Description
Corymbium africanum Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 2: 928. 1753.
"Habitat in Aethopia." RCN: 6735.
Lectotype (Sprague in Bull. Misc. Inform. Kew 1940: 165. 1940): Herb. Clifford: 494, Corymbium 1 (BM-000647672).
Generitype of Corymbium Linnaeus.
Current name: Corymbium africanum L. (Asteraceae).
Note: Weitz (in S. African J. Bot. 55: 602. 1989) accepted Sprague’s choice and illustrated the type sheet (as f. 1).
