Description
Conferva reticulata Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 2: 1165. 1753.
"Habitat in Europae fluviis ad eorum littora." RCN: 8385.
Lectotype (Irvine in Spencer & al. in Taxon, in press): [icon] " Conferva reticulata " in Dillenius, Hist. Musc.: 20, t. 4, f. 14. 1741 (see above, right). - Voucher: Herb. Dillenius (OXF).
Current name: Hydrodictyon reticulatum (L.) Lagerh. (Hydrodictyaceae).
