Description

Clutia alaternoides Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 2: 1042. 1753.

"Habitat in Aethiopia." RCN: 7529.

Lectotype (Wijnands, Bot. Commelins: 95. 1983): Herb. Clifford: 444, Clutia 1 (BM-000647328).

Current name: Clutia alaternoides L. (Euphorbiaceae).

Note: See detailed discussion of the original elements by Prain (in Bull. Misc. Inform. Kew 1913: 375-378. 1913), who applied the name in the sense of 1206.2 (LINN) and the Clifford sheet, but without designating a type.
