Lectotype (Hedge in Jarvis & al. Regnum Veg. 127: 32. 1993): Gerber, Herb. Linn. No. 1086.1 (LINN).
Generitype of Ceratocarpus Linnaeus.
Current name: Ceratocarpus arenarius L. (Chenopodiaceae).
