Lectotype (Alavi in Jafri & El-Gadi, Fl. Libya 107: 120. 1983): Herb. Clifford: 443, Ambrosia 1 (BM-000647392).
Generitype of Ambrosia Linnaeus (vide Green, Prop. Brit. Bot.: 188. 1929).
Current name: Ambrosia maritima L. (Asteraceae).
