Description

Lichen fimbriatus Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 2: 1152. 1753.

"Habitat in Europae sylvis sterilibus." RCN: 8233.

Lectotype (Ahti in Greuter, Regnum Veg. 128: 77. 1993): [icon] " Coralloides scyphiformegracile, marginibus serratis " in Dillenius, Hist. Musc.: 84, t. 14, f. 8. 1741. - Epitype (Jørgensen & al. in Bot. J. Linn. Soc. 115: 311, 376. 1994): Herb. Dillenius Tab. XIV, No. 8, lower row, first specimen to the left (OXF).

Current name: Cladonia fimbriata (L.) Fr. (Cladoniaceae).
