Description

Solidago sempervirens Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 2: 878. 1753.

"Habitat in Noveboraco, Canada." RCN: 6346.

Lectotype (Taylor & Taylor in Sida 10: 243. 1984): Herb. Linn. No. 998.1 (LINN).

Current name: Solidago sempervirens L. (Asteraceae).

Note: Although Gray (in Proc. Amer. Acad. Arts 17: 177. 1882) noted the identity of 998.1 (LINN) and the cited Plukenet figure, he did not designate a type.
