Description

Salvia haematodes Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 1: 24. 1753.

"Habitat in Italia." RCN: 195.

Lectotype (Del Carratore & al. in Pl. Biosystems 132: 172, f. 2. 1998): [icon] " Horminum sanguineum Asphodeli radice " in Trionfetti, Obs. Ortu Veg. Pl.: 69, unnumbered plate. 1685 (see right).

Current name: Salvia pratensis L. subsp. haematodes (L.) Briq. (Lamiaceae).
