Salvia africana lutea Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 1: 26. 1753, nom. inval.

"Habitat ad Cap. b. spei, juxta rivulos." RCN: 209.

Type not relevant.

Current name: Salvia aurea L. (Lamiaceae).

Note: " Salvia africana lutea " L. (1753) is a generic name followed by two adjectival words in the nominative case and is not a valid species name (Art. 23.6(c) Ex. 15).
