Paspalum dimidiatum Linnaeus, Systema Naturae, ed. 10, 2: 855. 1759, nom. illeg.

Replaced synonym: Panicum dissectum L. (1753).

Lectotype (Hitchcock in Contr. U. S. Natl. Herb. 12: 116. 1908): Kalm, Herb. Linn. No. 79.1 (LINN).

Generitype of Paspalum Linnaeus (vide Nash, N. Amer. Fl. 17: 165. 1912).

Current name: Paspalum dissectum (L.) L. (Poaceae).

Note: An illegitimate name for Panicum dissectum L. (1753).
