Neotype (Miller in Jarvis & al., Regnum Veg. 127: 93. 1993): Scopoli 41, Herb. Linn. No. 292.5 (LINN).
Generitype of Thesium Linnaeus (vide Hitchcock, Prop. Brit. Bot.: 135. 1929).
Current name: Thesium alpinum L. (Santalaceae).
