Tetracera volubilis Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 1: 533. 1753, nom. cons.

Conserved type (Barrie & Todzia in Taxon 40: 652. 1991): Mexico. Veracruz, Zacuapan, Sulphur Spring, Dec 1906, Purpus 2206 (F; iso- US).

Generitype of Tetracera Linnaeus.

Current name: Tetracera volubilis L. (Dilleniaceae).

Note: Barrie & Todzia (in Taxon 40: 652-655. 1991) provided an extensive review of this name along with their conservation proposal.
